Jalan: Mysteries of the Haunted World
The dragons created the burunjhu to lead and advise armies of humans and other creatures during the Patron War. Designed as reflections of their creators, but also to make humans more comfortable, burunjhu resemble extremely short, compact humans with large, piercing eyes, beak-like noses, clawed fingers, and proto-feathers on their scalp, in lines down their spine and front and their shins and outer forearms. Their skin can be any shade common to humans, as well as shades of gray. Their eyes tend t o be golden and their plumage red, but can be nearly any color.
Created by the dragons as their emessaries, elite warriors, and favored servants, the burunjhu are now an abandoned people. Warriors, scholars, and tacticians, burunjhu bear the pride, rage, strength, and intellect of their makers, but also the shame oftheir defeat in the Patron Wars. Most have moved on and now seek to make their mark in the world as peers of the other races, but some nurse the grudges of their ancestors and work to bring the wrath of dragons into the world again.
